We charge $389 as the fee to do the entire divorce. This encompasses the initial consultation all the way through to when the judge signs the final divorce decree. You will also be responsible for paying the court costs and filing fee totaling $221 (subject to change). We are only able to provide our service at such a reasonable cost because we will file your case in the Webster Family Court, Dixon, Kentucky. The Webster Family Court does not require that parents of minor children complete a “parenting class or classes” prior to the entry of the divorce Decree, and that fact saves you time and the money ($150.00 to $200.00) you would otherwise pay for the classes.
If you wish to remove one spouse’s name from a deed to a property in Kentucky so that it goes into the name of the other spouse, Kentucky requires a separate legal document called a “quitclaim deed.” We can prepare the quitclaim deed for you through this divorce for $100.
If you have a retirement account or 401(K) that needs to be split, that will require a pleading called a Qualified Domestic Relations Order, which we do not do. A different attorney would have to be hired separately to handle that request.
We only accept online credit card payments, which must be paid in advance and are nonrefundable.
